The front of the medal displays Mary standing on a globe, with a serpent's head beneath her feet. The oval shaped medal is surrounded with the signature, "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." On the reverse, 12 stars surround a big "M," from which a cross emerges.
